Sunview Medipro Boosts Machakos Healthcare with Advanced Lab, Theatre & CT Scan Installations

Machakos County, May 5, 2025 - Her Excellency Wavinya Ndeti today flagged off trucks carrying advanced laboratory and operating theatre equipment to hospitals across Machakos County in a major move to improve healthcare services in the region.

The equipment, supplied and installed by Sunview Medipro, is being distributed to facilities including Machakos County Referral Hospital, Kangundo Level IV Hospital, Mavoko Level IV Hospital, Masii Level IV Hospital and several sub-county hospitals.

The installations include modern operating theatres fitted with advanced surgical lights, operating tables, anaesthesia machines, patient monitors and essential surgical instrumentation.

Hospitals have also been equipped with biochemistry, electrolyte and haematology analysers to improve diagnostics and reduce turnaround time for patients.

Machakos County Referral Hospital has already received a CT scanner, while Kangundo Level IV Hospital is set to receive a Philips 128-slice CT scanner featuring AI-enabled imaging, lower radiation exposure and faster scan times.

Governor Wavinya Ndeti said the investment will help residents receive scanning, diagnosis and treatment services within Machakos County without travelling to other regions.

Sunview Medipro CEO Sirat Amin said the company is committed to maintaining reliable services, equipment support and continuous supply of reagents and consumables across all facilities.

The company has also integrated PACS digital reporting systems to allow radiologists to remotely access and share imaging results in real time.
