14 More Counties Go Live as NESP Project Expands CT Scan Access

September 10, 2025 - Sunview Medipro has successfully delivered and installed advanced CT scan machines in 14 additional counties under the National Equipment Service Program (NESP). The counties now benefiting include Nairobi (2), Mombasa, Nyeri, Kakamega, Murang’a, Garissa, Samburu, Kajiado, Marsabit, Tharaka Nithi, Bomet, Nyandarua, and West Pokot.

This expansion follows earlier installations in Wajir, Mandera, Kisumu, Lamu, and Kirinyaga, bringing the total to 19 modern CT scanners supplied under the program.

According to Sunview CEO Sirat Amin, “This is more than just delivering machines, it is about equipping hospitals with the tools to save lives, digitizing diagnostics, and ensuring patients get accurate results closer to home.”

Since the rollout began in May 2025, more than 5,000 CT scans have been performed. Clinicians confirm that access to advanced imaging has already reversed referrals to national hospitals, cut patient travel costs, and enabled earlier diagnosis and treatment.

The NESP program, led by the Government of Kenya, is designed to bridge long-standing healthcare gaps by partnering with trusted medical technology companies such as Sunview Medipro. Alongside supplying equipment, Sunview ensures sustainability by training biomedical engineers, radiographers, and clinicians to effectively operate and maintain the machines.

With the latest phase complete, thousands of additional patients are expected to benefit, marking a critical milestone in Kenya’s path toward equitable, accessible, and digitized healthcare.
